How does the NUK dish detergent work?

During the first months of their life, your baby's diet mainly consists of milk and purees. The milk proteins contained in food are extremely persistant and remain as residues in baby bottles, teats and on baby’s tableware. This contributes to the formation of germs, bacteria and bad odours. To protect your baby from this, NUK has developed the gentle dish detergent.

The NUK dish detergent is particularly mild and gentle, because NUK does not use ingredients during production that are not necessary for the complete removal of baby food, in particular milk protein in baby bottles, teats or baby’s tableware. Instead, the NUK Dishwasher Cleaner contains enzymes that work specifically against milk protein. Inspired by nature, they make use of the property that enzymes help to break down and dissolve proteins. Milk, juice and, thanks to the new formula, even persistent residues of pureed foods can be removed particularly effectively with the new detergent.

Thanks to its thin texture, the NUK dish detergent spreads quickly. The proteins stuck on the insides of baby bottles and the like are cracked open by the enzymes and can then be fully rinsed out easily.
