Recaro Infant Car Seat Avan i-size

Avan exceeds all safety requirements and is the new infant seat from Recaro’s smart modular system. Whether extended outings or small trips, in the Avan your baby is protected perfectly from a height of 40 cm up to 83 cm.

Installation with or without Isofix

With just one click, the Avan infant car seat can be attached to the Avan / Kio base (not included). This is a welcome relief, especially in turbulent family life. Coloured indicators tell you whether you have installed car seat and base correctly. Optionally, the Avan can be installed in almost every car by using the vehicle's own 3-point belt.

Part of the new Recaro Modular System

As soon as your child has out-grown the Avan, you can move on to the successor car seat Kio that can be used with the base as well. In the rear-facing child car seat Kio, your can travel safely in up to a height of 105 cm.

Ventilation system for high seating comfort

The Avan has been equipped with a smart ventilation system for more comfort and well-being. Openings in the outer shell and mesh inserts in the seat cover guarantee continuous air circulation. No matter how long the journey takes, your little passenger reaches every destination fresh and in a good mood.

Low-weight infant car seat with ergonomic carrying handle

With just 4.1 kg, the Avan is an absolute lightweight infant car seat. In conjunction with the optimal handle shape, you can enjoy a light and ergonomic carrying experience.

HERO belt system with smart belt buckle

The patented HERO belt system is a unit consisting of shoulder pads, straps and headrest, and prevents the straps from twisting and shifting. In addition to this, the smart belt buckle tilts forward when you lift your baby out of the car seat and remains in this position. When you put your little one into the cars seat, the belt buckle won’t get in the way and you can fasten your child comfortably and quickly. Another benefit is a coating on the belt latch, which prevents the latch from overheating in summer.

The infant car seat, lined with soft comfort foam, is particularly comfortable even on longer journeys. A newborn insert offers the little ones a flat and ergonomic lying position.

Suitable for being used as a travel system

With the matching adapters (not included in the delivery), you can quickly switch from the car to the stroller. This flexibility makes everyday situations such as shopping, appointments at the doctor or short walks much easier.
