In the Recaro Kio, your child can travel safely in a rear-facing mode from 60 cm up to 105 cm. With the Kio newborn insert (sold separately) you are even provided with the option of using the Kio child car seat right from birth.

Safe Isofix installation and rear-facing position up to an age of 4 years

The Recaro Kio can only be attached to the car by using the Avan / Kio base (not included in the delivery). With just one click, the Kio is installed quickly and safely on the back seat of your car. Visual indicators feature a green light when the Kio and the base are installed correctly.

The major benefit - the Avan / Kio Base can already be used for the Avan infant car seat.

It is best to use the Kio in a rear-facing mode up to a height of 105 cm. In the event of a frontal crash, the forces are distributed over the entire body in this mode, and thus protects the sensitive head and neck area of your child. As soon as your little passenger is 16 months old, you can move on to using the Kio in a forward-facing mode.

Convenient one-hand adjustment of reclining position

With five resting positions in both forward-facing and rear-facing mode, the Kio enables your child to lie in an extremely flat position. The simple operation with just one hand will delight parents immediately. There is also particularly soft seat foam that adapts perfectly to the small body and convinces with its outstanding comfort.

Ventilation system for high seating comfort

For more comfort and well-being, the Kio has been equipped with a super smart ventilation system. Openings in the outer shell and mesh inserts in the seat cover guarantee continuous air circulation. No matter how long the journey takes, your little passenger reaches every destination fresh and in a good mood.

HERO belt system with smart belt buckle

The patented HERO belt system is a unit consisting of shoulder pads, straps and headrest, and prevents the straps from twisting and shifting. In addition to this, the smart belt buckle tilts forward when you lift your baby out of the car seat and remains in this position. When you put your little one into the cars seat, the belt buckle won’t get in the way and you can fasten your child comfortably and quickly. Another benefit is a coating on the belt latch, which prevents the latch from overheating in summer.

Advanced Side Protection (ASP) – triple side impact protection

Triple side impact protection - in every car. The combination of shell, seat structure and side wings provide reliable protection in the event of an impact. Protectors that can be folded on the door side of the car seat as well as the energy-absorbing shell absorb the impact energy and guide it away from your little one. Memory foam in the headrest makes the car seat even more comfortable for your child and also has an impact and shock absorbing effect.

The comfy consecutive child car seat Kio is available in two different fabrics. Robust fabrics and bright colours characterise the Select range. The fabrics of the Prime range feature a soft and pleasant feel as well as a luxurious look.
